Empower Station 002
(something terrifying at the Chamber's Street Museum)
Today, you are going to charge up and improve your existence, in a tiny teeny way.Today, you are going to attack and defend your email inbox from the incoming tide of distracting minutia.
Unsubscribe from all those emailing lists that-it is easy, just click the link to unsubscribe, in all honesty, don't add anything to your life save distraction.
Struggling to save your money? Do you really want another message in your inbox telling you about these amazing new boots at your favourite store? It serves only to chip away at your resolve, when you are trying to save up for that trip, or that spa day you've been promising yourself, or that new Xbox console.
Take a stand against it.
Unsubscribe and put your priorities first. In a small, meaningful way. I promise you won't miss these emails. Follow them on twitter instead.
I have unsubscribe from every mailing list that does not serve to further my goals, good bye to the emails from ASOS, Kurt Geiger, Topshop et al. It is freeing!
I'm no longer beset by images of gorgeous items that, a: I do not need, b: want, c: can not afford currently.
I only get emails that I actually want.
Imagine your email box as a reservoir of gifts.
Updates from your favourite blogs get priority!
Emails from friends don't get lost in the tide of marketing emails yelling BUY! BUY! BUY!
Go on, unsubscribe, take control of your inbox.
Love
Siobhan

Monday Marvels
(We should all be as excited by life as Molly)
Let's start the week on a high! Not just a caffeine high!
This is what making me spark with with excitement for the coming week:
Mild Autumn weather, the yellow and golden leaves, grey earth and wall, it is so vibrant! Long may it continue.
Halloween!!!!!!!!!! I having a Halloween party (sinister dress makes for a fantastic party, without fail.) this coming weekend and I can't wait-the costume is sorted, I may even make punch! Sinister punch that is.
Facets moving to it's new home on FRIDAY! That's right, we're moving, just doing all the final bits and pieces and you will all hopefully love the changes!
Pumpkin pie. I fell in love with this heavenly delectation when I lived in Toronto, it is time to make it again!
Empower Station 002-I tackled what was annoying me in Empower Station 001-the mouldy paint in my shower room-and having came up with the next thing to improve our existence in a practical way I'm delighted to share it with everyone later this week.
Crafting. I'm champing at the bit to go to my local B&Q, got some projects that I can't wait to start!
What is making your week spark like the start of a firework?
I wanna know!
Love
Siobhan

Hi Ho! Hi Ho! Of To The Sauna We Go!
(via google images)
Are you feeling a little bummed out with the season change? Can't seem to get warm? Or are you just feeling a little bleh? Is your skin a bit drab despite all the water and fresh fruit?
Want to give yourself an easy, cheap boost that actually *whispers* works?
SAUNA.
I recently returned to the warm embrace of sauna's and quite frankly, LOVED it.
'Why should you go? Your busy, got stuff to do, people to see, you can't be sitting around just sweating. Ew.' You may be thinking to yourself. Yet here is why you should.
*The skin is the bodies largest organ, and when you sweat you flush out toxins, opening up all your pores to let dirt and grease out. Hello beautiful clean skin! Be sure to have several cold showers during a sauna session to rinse yourself. As a acne sufferer, I can attest that personally my skin has improved greatly since going for sauna sessions.
*Can help improve your health, the heat of the sauna tricks your body into thinking it has a fever, sweating out the virus faster. Excellent if you have head cold or similar you can't shift.
*Calming. Focusing on your breathing and staying in the dry heat for as long you can it has an almost meditative quality, you can't help but let your mind go quiet. Ahhhhh, bliss.
*Increases flexibility prior to a workout.
*Aids relaxing sleep.
*Cheap. My local gym offers a sauna session for the paltry sum of £2.05! Check out yours for their awesome deal.
Any other lovers of sauna's out there? If money were no object I would have my own personal sauna in the flat!
